P/Arts (Philanthropic Arts)
Launched in 2019, P/Arts—short for Philanthropic Arts—is our Foundation’s signature initiative designed to support and inspire nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations in weaving the arts into daily learning. Through this program, we help schools and educational partners implement or enhance arts-based curricula for students from early childhood through college.
We believe the arts are not an accessory to education but a cornerstone of it. Studies consistently show that exposure to the arts fosters creativity, improves academic achievement, and nurtures critical life skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and empathy. For younger children, engaging in the arts supports healthy brain development and builds confidence in self-expression. For older students, the arts provide essential outlets for stress relief, cultural understanding, and innovative thinking—skills that are vital in today’s complex world.
P/Arts reflects our conviction that every child and student deserves access to meaningful artistic experiences. By integrating the arts into everyday learning, we not only enrich education but also equip future generations with the tools to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The P/Arts Program
The P/Arts Program was created to strengthen connections between the philanthropic, arts, and education communities, fostering meaningful collaborations that enrich learning and inspire growth.
Eligible applicants must be accredited 501(c)(3) organizations that integrate visual and/or performing arts education into their work. Through P/Arts, we seek to support programs that:
Revitalize learning by enhancing and transforming outdated public school curricula.
Motivate and inspire students of all ages, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Empower educators by deepening professional development opportunities for teachers, professors, and childcare providers.
Bridge the gap between school and home, creating continuity in learning and support for children and families.
Apply evidence-based, arts-based instruction proven to strengthen both academic and personal outcomes.
Address inequities in education by helping to close the achievement gap and expand access to high-quality learning opportunities.
At its heart, the P/Arts Program reflects our belief that the arts are a powerful driver of educational transformation, unlocking potential not just in the classroom but in entire communities.

Program Goal
The Eager to Learn program was designed to give students access to the absolute best SAT and ACT prep. In 2022, we expanded the program to include funding for organizations working with individuals interested in alternative career pathways and job skills development. Organizations should be innovative and flexible in helping students and individuals to understand their options for a bright future.
This program will ensure that students from every socioeconomic background have access to the highest quality SAT and ACT prep materials. We want students and young adults to be at the forefront of information available to them from knowledgeable career counselors. We formed this program to partner with organizations poised to provide these services or who are already working to raise ACT and SAT scores or counsel kids on a bright future without the need to attend college. We want to empower students by providing them with a fair and equal opportunity to get into the best colleges and universities and position them to be offered scholarships and tuition packages by raising their scores. If a student’s path does not include college, then we want them to have access to knowledge about trade school careers.
For SAT/ACT programs, we will support organizations and schools implementing small-group test preparation sessions that enable students to achieve optimum outcomes and get the attention and answers they deserve. SAT and ACT programs should consist of groups of no more than fifteen at a time but as close to one-on-one as possible. We believe intensive programs are necessary to raise college entrance exam scores. We want to support and encourage the counseling and mentoring process required to navigate college entrance exams and beyond. Funds can also be used for intensive college counseling, application sessions, and FASFA assistance.
For career pathways programs, our goal is to provide the funds necessary to bring the best career readiness counselors, programs, materials, and environments to individuals who would otherwise struggle to navigate and be successful in their chosen career path or who struggle to understand their options. We want to eliminate the affordability factor for individuals where proper guidance is always a barrier to achieving goals.
If you have an existing program or are interested in designing a program like either of these for your organization, please submit a grant request using the link below.
We wish to partner with organizations designing, improving, continuing, or implementing programs geared towards closing the achievement gap and being innovative and flexible in shepherding students to understand their options for a bright future. We wish to partner with organizations and individuals seeking to form bonds within the communities they serve to enable the greatest success for their programs. We believe that implementing a holistic approach to supporting at-risk students will provide optimal results.
Our Foundation will support organizations implementing small-group programs so that students can attain optimum outcomes and get the attention and answers they deserve. Programs should consist of small groups of no more than ten at a time but as close to one-on-one as possible. We believe intensive programs are necessary to raise the average college entrance exam test scores for underserved or marginalized youth.
As a Foundation, our goal is to provide the funds necessary to bring the best career readiness counselors and test prep teachers, tutors, materials, and environment to students who would otherwise struggle to navigate and be successful in the college entrance system or their chosen career path. We want to eliminate the affordability factor for underprivileged and at-risk students where costly guidance and test prep are always a barrier to achieving their goals. Also, we want to support and encourage the counseling and mentoring process required to navigate college entrance exams and beyond.

We firmly believe that effective writing and communication are invaluable life skills. Our Foundation is committed to backing programs that equip individuals with the tools and knowledge to articulate their thoughts through writing, fostering the ability to construct compelling arguments for advancing our culture. The New Era Writers Program is designed to provide support to writers in their pursuit of a fulfilling career and passion for writing.
History of our Program Name:
Our board is very passionate about literacy and writing and wants to support programs that celebrate and lift our country’s next professional writers and journalists.
The fight for equal rights in the United States has a rich history of advocacy by both women and men who believe in constitutionally protected gender equality.
Since 1848, women and men in America have fought and lobbied for an amendment to our constitution protecting all citizens regardless of gender. To this day, not all states have ratified that amendment.
The Equal Rights Amendment was introduced in 1923 by Alice Paul in Seneca Falls, NY. This gathering and the words that were spoken have echoed ever since. Unfortunately, almost 100 years later, they are still true:
"If we keep on this way, they will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the 1848 Convention without being much further advanced in equal rights than we are…If we had not concentrated on the Federal Amendment, we should be working today for suffrage…We shall not be safe until the principle of equal rights is written into the framework of our government."
Check out the video and links on the ERA’s website to learn more about the history of women’s fight for legal equality in the United States.
We named our program to honor the women and men fighting for equality for all.
