Catapult! Youth Mentoring Center is expanding access to mentorship, academic support, and college readiness—empowering students today while building for tomorrow.

Catapult! Youth Mentoring Center is quickly becoming a transformative force for students in the Lake Worth community—bringing academic support, mentorship, and college readiness within reach.

Even as construction progresses toward a permanent facility opening in July 2026, students are already benefiting from Catapult’s programming through a temporary headquarters. This early launch ensures that momentum continues, providing immediate access to mentoring, SAT preparation, and college readiness support.

Designed as a walkable, academically focused hub near Lake Worth High School, Catapult is addressing a critical need for safe, structured after-school programming. Families and students have already embraced the initiative, recognizing the value of a dedicated space focused on leadership development and future success.

The program builds on a strong foundation of results. Many students are the first in their families to attend college, with participants earning acceptance into highly competitive universities, including Harvard and other top institutions. Just as importantly, students are securing significant scholarships that make these opportunities financially possible—removing barriers and turning aspiration into reality.

Notably, 100% of graduates are accepted to four-year colleges, with 60% earning full-ride scholarships and others receiving 70–90% scholarship support.

Beyond individual success, Catapult is strengthening the broader community. The project has increased mentor engagement, expanded partnerships, and built strong momentum for long-term sustainability. At the same time, the team continues to prepare for future growth—expanding recruitment, enhancing programming, and laying the groundwork to serve up to 3,000 students annually.

While construction timelines and rising costs have required thoughtful planning, these challenges have also strengthened the organization’s long-term strategy. By piloting programming early, Catapult is refining its model to ensure an even stronger launch when the permanent center opens.

Catapult is more than a building—it is a powerful investment in educational opportunity and upward mobility. By removing barriers and placing high-quality academic support within walking distance, the program is helping students take meaningful steps toward brighter futures.
